We've had a lot of snow here lately! There was another big dump last night and this morning. Since today is Sunday, the schedule calls for a long run. So T2 and I headed out for a 1:20 run in the snow. T2 also has a friend here from Winnipeg who is training for a half marathon and she decided to join us as well, which was great. BTW, I found out she was seriously considering wearing capris since it's so balmy here in the GTA - Winnipeggers are so hard core!The run was a little on the treacherous side because the roads and sidewalks were completely covered. But it was so beautiful. The snow was still coming down, and everything was a muted quiet. Definitely one of those runs to remember!
I'm in the midst of renovations on my main floor powder room. It hadn't been updated since I moved into this house 3 years ago. Imagine wallpaper, and lots of it. In forest green. Yep, time to goodbye to the wallpaper! The goal is to have everything done by Feb 8 when I'm having a baby shower for my sister. My dad has been helping me (ok I admit he's doing most of it) and yesterday we went out and finished buying all the new stuff. I can hardly wait until it's done, I think it will look great.
One of my favorite things to do in my downtime, or on the train in to work is to read blogs. One of my most recent finds is Oh She Glows. It's a blog about health and fitness which I really enjoy. It's not vegan, but lots of good information that everyone can enjoy. Anyway, Angela is having a great contest where you can win a food basket from Neal Brothers - check it out if you get the chance.
